Cusco - Tinki - Upis
We will pick you up from your accommodation in Cusco in the morning in between 4:30 am to 5:00 am. Then we travel in our private van for 3 hours until to arrive to Tinki (Trailhead = 3800 masl = 12467 ft.) which is a small village, in here we are going to take our delicious breakfast where you will have on the table hot drinks like: coffee, coca tea, hot chocolate, also you we have pancakes, omelets, bread, eggs, butter, etc. On the table. After breakfast we have to walk for about 4 hours to ge our first campsite Upis (4400 masl = 14435 ft.) along the way we will have a great wiew of the Ausangate snow capped mountain which is the highest mountain here in Cusco Region. Once we get at Upis we can enjoy the Natural hotspring at Upis with a spectacular view of the Apu Ausangate. After enjoying this hotspring our chef with our horseman will be waiting for us with our delicious dinner. Then our tents and confortable airmattress will be waiting for us to dreaming with the Rainbow Mountain.

Upis - Pukaqocha Lake - Hananta Campsite
After our delicious breakfast, we continue our walk with a slight ascent of approximately two hours to reach the Arapa pass (4850m / 15908ft). We then headed downhill to the place of our lunch. In this tour we will have the magical view of the Ausangate mountain (6372m / 20900ft), we will also be able to observe the three beautiful lakes with shades of red, green and turquoise (Pukaqocha, HatunPukaqocha and Qomerqocha) and some alpacas, vizcachas and llamas.
After lunch, we continue our tour with a long and slow ascent to our campsite which will be in Hananta (4740m / 15551ft), in this stretch of the way we will have some of the best views of the snow-covered mountain Ausangate.
After a long walk, we will finally recharge with our great and varied dinner, there will be hot drinks available.

Hananta Campsite - Rainbow Mountain
This day we will get up earlier to continue our adventure towards the famous rainbow mountain or also called Vinicunca, we will have breakfast very early to be the first to arrive towards the rainbow mountain since many visitors come from Cusco.
We will start with an ascent of approximately 1 hour to the pass (5000m / 16,400ft) from here you can see a landscape taken from dreams.
From Hananta, it takes around 3 hours to reach Rainbow Mountain. Once we reach Rainbow Mountain (5100m / 16404ft) your guide will explain about this amazing and imposing work of art created by nature (remember that this type of formation can be seen in only two places in the world: Peru and China), where you will learn about the formation process, the natural minerals that make up colors and everything related to this beauty of the world.
After enjoying this surreal landscape, we descend to the place of our lunch where our succulent, delicious and varied lunch awaits us, to recharge all the energy expended on this walk.
Also our private transport awaits us in this place to return to the city of Cusco, after 3 hours of driving we will arrive in Cusco around 6:00 pm approximately.

- Pre-departure briefing: Before your departure to Ausangate peru trek 2 days, you will meet your guide at your hotel where you are staying, for an orientation before your trek. At this time, it is where we will provide you with the duffel bags for your items that our horses will carry. The meeting takes place in the evening before the trip begins.

They will make sure your trip is memorable. - Camping Equipment: Dining and kitchen tents, tables, chairs, and cooking equipment (all carried by the horses).
- 1 duffle bag: There, you can carry your personal belongings (including sleeping bag) up to a maximum weight of 6 kg / 14 lbs.
All duffel bags will be carried by your porters or horses and will only be available at your campsite every day (morning and evening). Any items that are necessary during the hike should be packed in your backpack. - Medical Kit: All PMA TRIPSguides have received first aid training. Your tour guide will always have a first aid kit for basic medical situations (traveler’s diarrhea, altitude sickness, cuts, scrapes, etc.) as well as oxygen. If necessary, we will evacuate you from the road as quickly as possible and ensure that you arrive at a clinic for treatment.
Food
- Meals: PMA TRIPSchefs cook the best dishes in the middle of the mountain. We respect all food restrictions (vegetarian, vegan or special menus are available at no additional cost), so be sure to add the ones you have on your booking form and let your guide know at your briefing. Food is typically served family style.
- Wake up tea: Every morning at the camp, you will wake up to a cup of hot drink! Our staff will bring the tea to your store.
- Tea time daily: Happy hour for tea and snacks! Every evening before dinner, our chefs will provide you with popcorn, hot chocolate, cookies, teas, coffee, hot water, etc. After a long day of hiking, you won’t have to wait until dinner to relax.
- Snacks on the trail daily: Every morning we’ll give you your snack to enjoy it during the walk; our tour leader will provide you a Cloth bag with local fruits, biscuits, chocolate, caramels, etc. We will give this snack to you at the beginning of each day in your cloth bag.
- Water: From your first lunch to your last breakfast, PMA TRIPSwill provide all the water you need. This water is boiled, filtered, and then cooled before distributing. You must bring personal water bottles and / or camel back. We recommend bringing around 2 liters. You will be able to refill your water at every meal.
- Products for hygiene: You will be provided with a small towel before each meal to clean your hands.
Transportation

Day 1: You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning and travel by private transport to Upis, the starting point of the Ausangate peru trek 2 days.
Day 2: Once you complete the tour, we will take you back to the door of your hotel in Cusco. - Cargo Mules
The muleteers are responsible for carrying your luggage on days 1 and 2.
The pack mules carry all the camping equipment and your personal travel bag (7 kgs / 15 lbs).
