Transfer from your hotel at approximately 5.30 am – 5.45 am. The train ride consists of spectacular views of this wonderful land of the Incas. You will see amazing landscapes of mountains and valleys, Inca farming terraces on both sides of the valley, snowcapped mountains, and a sub-tropical jungle near the rainforest. From Pachar, the sacred Vilcanota river will be our companion until we arrive at Aguas Calientes (2000m) also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. Your guide will meet you at the train station and transfer you to the bus for a 25-minute ride to Machu Picchu. A guided tour of Machu Picchu also called “The Sacred temple of the Incas” takes approximately 2 hrs. After your guided tour, you will have free time to keep exploring on your own. Then, you will come down to Aguas Calientes to enjoy your lunch in a local restaurant. this is optional and not included. After lunch, you will catch the train at 15:20 or 16:22 pm to Ollantaytambo. Peru Hikers’ private bus will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel.

It is not allowed to bring large backpacks inside Machu Picchu, only day packs (25L) are allowed inside.

The bus ticket down to the town of Aguas Calientes is included. You have two options for your return to Cusco. The first option is to take a train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, then take a private bus from Ollantaytambo to your accommodation in Cusco. The second option is a train from Aguas Calientes to Poroy, Cusco. Your transfer from Poroy to your hotel in Cusco.
